We get certain questions frequently, so an FAQ seems like a a good idea. If you have a question you think should be added here, drop us a note at talent@arthouse.xxx.
Q: Do I have to do _______ to work for you.
A: Well, we can’t give a blanket answer to that, but… probably? The content we create is adult in nature. Not all of our content requires penetrative sex, but nearly all of it requires nudity and most of it requires erotic nudity, which would be open leg, spread labia for those of you with vaginas, and erections for those of you with penises. We do some solo erotic content, so you don’t necessarily have to have intimate contact with someone else, but most of our content is explicit hardcore erotic content and we need talent that’s on board with creating that. If that’s not something you’re comfortable with, we’re happy to hear from you, and may occasionally have work that you might be okay with, but most of what we do is pretty much, well… porn.
Q: If I do work for you, do I have to show my face?
A: Yes. While there are people out there making money on places like OnlyFans and BentBox without showing their face, that is not the kind of content we create. We feel that faces are important for human connection. We want to show the look in your eyes as you get turned on, as you experience pleasure, and as you cum.
Q: Do you hire male talent?
A: Of course! We shoot B/G content (and B/G/G, B/B/G, etc.) and need male talent for those scenes. Check out our current castings to see if we’re currently hiring male talent. We don’t currently do solo erotic with male talent, nor do we currently have any B/B scenes planned, though we may expand into that kind of content in the future. Be aware, however, that we get a lot of interest from male talent: far more than we can use. For a typical B/G casting notice, we’ll typically get at least 20x-50x as many men applying as we get women. So while we love hearing from you guys, you need to understand the reality, which is that there are an awful lot of men out there hoping to break into the industry, whereas we often need to be more proactive to find just the right female talent for a particular scene.
Q: Do you hire trans male or trans female talent?
A: Not at present. Because we’re new and relatively small, we’re keeping our focus narrow to begin with. Our current plans are focused around creating solo erotic content with cis women and B/G content with cis men and cis women. It is our sincere hope to expand our brand to include content with a much more diverse pool of talent in the future, so do please feel free to reach out if you’re interested in working with us.
Q: Do you work with talent of [insert race/ethnicity]?
A: Absolutely! We don’t believe in race fetishization, so our castings virtually never specify a race or ethnicity requirement. If you’re sexy, attractive, and enthusiastic about sex, you’re our type and we want to hear from you.
Q: Is there anything that will disqualify me from being hired?
A: Well, of course. A few that come to mind.
- If you’re underage or even if you’re not, but you’re unable to provide sufficient identification required by the 18USC§2277 record-keeping requirements, we won’t be able to work with you you.
- If you’ve ever been convicted or even credibly accused of a violent crime, sex crime of any sort, or any kind of consent violation on- or off- set, we likely won’t bew able to work with you. While we believe in second chances, we also believe that nothing is more important than the safety of our talent and crew, and if you have a history or reputation that makes us unsure we can have a safe shoot environment with you, we won’t use you.
- We have no tolerance for intolerance. If your social media presence contains comments or posts that are anti-trans, anti-LGBT, or contain any derogatory comments about people based on their race, nationality, religion, or ethnicity, or express violence towards anybody at all, then we don’t want to work with you.
Q: Can I use a stage name or pseudonym?
A: Absolutely! In fact, we very highly recommend that you do. It’s a standard practice in this industry. A relatively tiny percentage of adult talent perform under their real name. Rest assured that we will we take great care to protect your identity, only revealing it when legally compelled to. In fact, our talent agreements require us to protect your identify and personal information.
Q: Do you pay for travel or relocation?
A: We don’t pay for relocation for talent because we hire talent as independent contractors. Travel-reimbursement is on a scene-by-scene basis, but we most often film in adult content “hot spots” like the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles) and Las Vega to get access to a large pool of adult talent. In most cases, we prefer to work with local talent to keep our costs down. If we really want to work with a particular talent, though, we’re absolutely open to paying travel expenses.
Q: How much do you pay for scenes?
A: We aim for the high-end of standard industry rates, but we individually negotiate on a scene-by-scene basis. The specifics of a scene and other factors, like your experience, reputation, and the size of your social media following can all impact the rate we’re able to offer for a scene.
